It was a difficult decision for us to limit our Free Shipping promotion to the contiguous US. Due to the nature of our product and the small size of our sales volume, each shipment has to go through extra steps to travel via air and/or cross borders as a commercial entity, even if just flying over them. As a small family-run business, this cost to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, APO and International addresses was impacting us far more than it would a large corporation. So, we made the decision to limit the promotion as simply shipping via flat rate boxes was no longer an option available to us.
